I am originally from Missouri, but have lived in Alaska and currently live in Las Vegas. I am happily married since 2005 with one incredible daughter and a big extended family. I love God, and care deeply about others. I enjoy the Vegas Golden Knights hockey (Stanley Cup Winners 2023!), reading, and going to new exciting places. I have been a therapist in the mental health field since 2016. I own my own group practice in Las Vegas that employs mental health therapists, psychiatric nurse practitioners, and administrative staff. It has been my dream since graduating from my masters to own my own practice.
Since I was a young child I have loved to write. I would create elaborate stories in grade school when I was only required to write a page or two. I love to read as much as I love to write which fueled my journey. Because of this I knew one day that I would write a book. Growing up, I experienced trauma in my family and because of my experiences I wanted to write a book. I believe wholeheartedly that I am supposed to help others through my writing and the stories that I am privileged to tell by de-stigmatizing mental health.
